Ed:What did you think about that scne?

Me: I hated it 

I had one drink because no one else would participate in flip cup, Ed hates drinking

Ed:You promise not to be pressured into this scene right? 

Me: I promise. You’re friends probably think I’m an asshole because they offered me the same drink three times and each time I responded I got angrier.

Silence, then he grabbed my hand

Ed:I’m sorry I’m so over protective 

Me: No,it’s a legitimate concern. I understand why you’re concerned 

Ed: It’s just that a lot of people change when they go to four year schools, they drink and do stupid things. And you have the mind of a child, you’re so innocent. I don’t want you to lose that, it’s a quality about you that I truly admire 

I hugged his arm tight as he drove

Me: I promise you I won’t. I don’t see the joy in getting drunk. I don’t see how for a night getting drunk, doing something stupid, then waking up to not remember it. I would be so scared. If I ever woke up and couldn’t remember what happened I wouldn’t know what to do. And then the day you have a terrible headache? I’d rather sing in front of my mirror every Friday night for the rest of my life
