We were cuddling in his bed, he began to kiss my back and neck.
The feeling tickled me, he whispered in my ear about the first day he met me, how he tried to get close to me. Then he went on about our first date, and how amazing it is that we’re together.
I turned to face him, he held me for a moment before he pulled me away and looked at me saying “Hey lets go see a shooting star tonight; we can cross that off our list.”
I was ecstatic. Then he went on:”We can sit in the back of the truck, bring some of that pudding we made, and cuddle under some blankets” I felt tears come to my eyes, I didn’t want him to see me cry so I pulled him close and hugged him tightly.
We packed up the truck with 4 blankets, 2 pillows, pudding, and hot coco.
He drove to a parking lot that was part of a State Park so not only was it empty it didn’t have any street lights to take away the luminous stars.
We cuddled close together, laying on a blanket and having 3 on top of us. Even when the wind would blow by us we were warm.
We stayed out there for about 30 or 40 minutes before we left. but it was all so perfect. We would talk about how much we loved the stars, what we saw, the planes that flew over us we would tell each other where they were going. Even our sprinkle covered pudding was delicious with our hot coco.
I never felt so happy, so close to him.
Looking back on it now all I can think is of the life we’re going to have together one day
It’s a silly story, I know, but it’s the small things
